Our first attempt at an Event was a pretty scary undertaking! none of us have any experience with that sort of thing.. but we knew that with the right combination of good food, good beer, good music, good riding and a good crew of people, we could pull it off!
We had an awesome time, and judging by the feedback, we received, everyone else did too!

“We went in the shop by chance when we visited Lyndhurst a few months ago. It had a really nice vibe – they’re bearded hipsters but made you feel really welcome and not like they’re too cool. And they love cycling! They were keen to get us along to the weekend rides but we’re just a little bit far away. When the Grand Rondo came up, it was worth going as it was over two days. It was great value and a lovely thing to be part of – and they really made us feel part of it. No cliques, everyone was really welcoming”

“For those that don’t know the New Forest, it is an amazing place filled with vast gravel tracks, wandering cows, sheep, horses and donkeys to name the least”
“From speaking to the folks at Woods Cyclery and those that attended next year they will be repeating the event and if it is as good as this year I expect it to be a much larger event. We hope to see you there, drink a beer and whiskey or two and enjoy what was a blooming good weekend”
Everyone seemed to enjoy pedalling some of the awesome demo bikes from Bombtrack, Surly, Brother Cycles and Sven Cycles, and chatting bikes with the crew from each brand.
Chapeau clothing came down to show off they’re awesome range of clothing.
Catch a Fire pizza smashed it with an awesome selection of pizza for the riders.
The way Out Back brewery served top beer from their mobile bar to keep us hydrated all night, while Jawbone and the Swine laid down some killer tunes, from laid back Blues to heavy Rock N Roll. Check out their album, now available on Spotify..
Bakehouse24 provided an awesome breakfast with the best Cinnamon buns, sausage rolls, and banana bread you’ll ever taste!
Laura Spinney put on a much needed yoga class in the morning, helping us sort out those aches and pains before setting off on Sundays pedal.
We are already looking forward to next year! The ‘Grand Rando’ will be back, bigger and even better!
Thanks everyone who helped bring the event together and all the riders for coming along.
